Diving into old family photographs, I found some 35 mm slides from a trip my dad made to Europe when he was a teen. The colors, the non-intentional editorial vibe and the freshness of the medium inspired me to create something.
After conversations with him and letting the project unfold by itself, it became an interpretation of the experience of a young Mexican boy living a French Winter in the 80s as a fashion campaign.
My intention was to translate into visual elements what he lived, the textures of the clothes and the idea of him looking so natural in a place different to his own context. To do so, I used unexpected contrasts, textures and splashes of color inspired by the neon attires from the 80s.
The 3D brand logo takes cues from the blue waterproof jacket he wore throughout the trip, mimicking both the fabric and the puffiness of its structure. A sans-serif font was chosen to maintain a similar style to the existing descriptions in the 35 mm slides.
