MAURA BEAR
[BENÍTEZ ARELLANO]
I’m a graphic designer and illustrator with a background in industrial design. After changing paths, my practice grew through experimentation, constant learning, and the people I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with.
I enjoy learning, blending techniques, and turning stories into visual systems. My work often reflects my love for food, music, and art—and I’m especially drawn to projects in those areas. You can take a closer look into my process here.

MY FAV PART
Illustrating natural elements and studying their textures through digital illustrationThe visual identity for the Sierra Leone Agrifood Investor Summit focused on attention to the country’s key agrifood value chains, while staying closely tied to place. Commissioned by the FAO Investment Centre, the project supported an international conference centered on sectors such as rice, cassava, cocoa, and poultry, all central to local production and investment.
The system grew from a simple geometric base and a palette built around warm, earthy tones, giving the identity a grounded feel. Bitmap-style illustrations of agrifood products were combined with photography and applied across a wide range of printed assets, from roll-up banners and notebooks to pens, shirts, and signage, using repetition and pattern to keep the system consistent while adapting to different formats.
